Co-Founder and Chairman, Radius Networks
David Steinberg has been in the technology business for 35 years. In spite of being that old – he’s tried to keep sharp by working with lots of younger and brighter entrepreneurs. Steinberg began his career in the early days of data networking, then Internet and security, and most recently cloud, mobile, and location-based services. He’s been a founder or on the founding management team of companies like SynOptics (became Bay Networks), Check Point Software, Backup.com - and now is the chairman of a hot DC company, Radius Networks. Along the way, he’s helped many local startups with their fundraising, channel strategies, exits and more. Steinberg is a big believer that the DC technology region is in need of more community-building to keep it competitive with the Valley in the west and the Alley to the north.
Steinberg is actively advising many young companies and is a director on the boards of commercial real estate information company Costar (CSGP), renewable energy finance company Sol Systems, and SaaS product management company Pendo.io. He is also a member of the advisory board of the venture capital firm Core Capital Partners and a member of the Board of Directors of MAVA (Mid Atlantic Venture Association).
